Unlike department stores our products cannot be tried on in the dressing room for fit; this is why taking your child’s measurements and comparing them to our product specific size charts is so very important.
All manufacturer sizing standards vary from brand to brand and in many cases even style to style within the same brands. This is true anywhere you shop. When you try on clothing or shoes in any store you always find those that do not fit correctly – this one’s too big, this one’s too small….. It will be the same when shopping online. Measuring your child is the ONLY way to avoid this.
How to Take Measurements
Chest: Simply find the fullest part of your child’s chest about 1” to 1 ½” underneath the armpit. Measure all the way around, from armpit to armpit, until the measuring tape touches
Waist: Measure your child’s natural waistline all the way around until measuring tape touches. The natural waist is directly above the hip bones.
Length:Measure from top of child’s shoulder down to where the hem of the dress or bottoms will end. This measurement is best if taken from the backside. Length estimate: T-length, full length etc.. will vary per the child's height.
Weight: Weight offered on the size chart is based on manufacturer suggested weight range. Do not judge fit by this weight range alone, use this only as a tool in conjunction with garment measurements supplied on the size chart. Infants & toddlers may weigh the same but each has their own unique shape.
Comparing to the Size Chart: In order to select the correct size choice for your child you should add 1-2” to their actual chest & waist measurements and select a size choice based on those measurements. Measurements not adding up? See our Fit & Sizing Guide
