One clothing manufacturer may use different sizing guidelines for their clothing lines than another manufacturer. So measuring your child before purchase and comparing your measurements to the style specific size chart located below the description on the product page will insure the best fit.

How To Take Measurements

General Fitting: Formal wear, especially suits, tend to have an exact, to size, fit that may border on the small end of the size. If you child is in a half size or between sizes it is recommended that you choose one size larger. Please contact us with any sizing help you may need at: auto@isabellasfate.com

Chest: Simply find the fullest part of your child’s chest about 1” to 1 ½” underneath the armpit (the largest part of the chest). Measure all the way around, from armpit to armpit, until the measuring tape touches. Note that a suit jacket chest is made to be 4-6" larger than his actual chest measurements. Depending on the fit you prefer dress shirts will be 2-3" larger than the acutal body measurements. (Insure that the shirt or jacket is at least 1-2" larger than his actual body measurments; this will allow for fit and freedom of movement)

Waist: Measure your child’s natural waistline all the way around until measuring tape touches. The natural waist is directly above the hip bones. (Add 1-2" to actual body measurements before comparing to the size chart; this will allow fit and freedom of movement)

Outseam: Measure from top of his waist to his ankle, this measurement is taken from outside of leg (Garment outseam or length is measured waist to hemline).

Inseam: Measure from top of inner thigh to his ankle (Garment inseam is taken from crotch to hem)

Sleeve: Isabella's Fate measures from bottom of shoulder to the wrist (for long sleeves)

Shoulders: Measure from the back, shoulder to shoulder

Weight:  Weight offered on the size chart is based on manufacturer suggest weight range. Do not judge fit by this weight range alone, use this tool in conjunction with garment measurements supplied on the size chart. Infants & toddlers may weigh the same but each has their own unique shape.
